Amber Jones Limited Edition
Mr Price has come a long way from copying trends and printing hundreds of t-shirts emblazoned with words like "cutie" and images of Hello Kitty to actually becoming a prevalent voice in the South African Fashion industry. Their succes can largely be attributed to initiatives such as their work with South African Elle in the Rising Design Star Award where they offer young designers an opportunity to launch their own limited edition label at selected Mr Price Stores across the country.
I've fallen in love with Amber Jones, who won the 2010 New Talent Design Search, and her latest range Edie and the It Girls. Jones says that,"this collection is influenced by the Sixties IT girls like Edie Sedgwick and Penelope Tree. Their brand of off beat cool still has a massive impact on fashion decades later. Expect dropped waisted frocks, retro printed cropped trouser suits, A-line jackets and mannish oversized cardigans."
I'm going to count my monies and run off to Mr Price as soon as possible.

Topshop in SA
Glamour SA just announced that the British fashion retailers, Topshop, will be setting up a pop up store in Cape Town on the 12th of July at Unknown Union in Kloof street. The shop-in-a-shop will cater to both men and women and tickets need to be booked to ensure a spot at the event. It's exciting to know that international fashion retailers are finally taking notice of South Africa.
Here are some images from their Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook.

Winter Wants
I spent a large part of today wandering around Cavendish trying to find a faux fur vest, which have become my latest obsession.
The search (unfortunately) continues.
