Autumn's A Coming

Even though the days are still ridiculously hot here in Cape Town, there is a definite chill in the air at night, which means that Autumn is on it's way!
I bought this here skirt at the last You, Me and Everyone We Know Market, from Into the Woods. I have yet to wear it, but the thought makes me all giddy and whatnot.

Bill Cunningham is a fashion photographer for the New York Times. Cunningham's been at the forefront of street style in Manhattan for the past 50 years and this month a documentary about his work was released. I can't even begin to contain my excitement. Have a look at the trailer.

The Importance of Accessories

I just recently realized how accessories have the ability to make an outfit and then I had another realization and that was that I own very few accessories. So I'm making a conscious effort to fix that, and it starts with this felt hat;



and this chunky coral and gold necklace;



both of them are from Mr P, which is probably the best place to get inexpensive accessories and whatnot. The necklace makes me feel like I'm playing dress up all over again.
